Holly Jolly R.E.D

This week we have a fun challenge at Holly Jolly, we are asking everyone to create a Christmas card or project that uses something that begins with “R” or “E” or “D” or maybe more than one!

We have two sponsors and I have used an image from Sweet Angel and coloured the image in with Copic Markers.

I have used the letters R – Ribbon, E- Embossing, D- Diecut, Dazzling Diamonds

The paper used is from my stash and the die cuts used are the SU Ovals Collection and the Marianne Design Large Petra Oval.  I added some Crystal effects and Dazzling Diamonds to the wings of the angel.

The two words are from a new SU stamp set called Endless Wishes.

CAGI Things with Wings

Hi everyone, apologies for this very late post for my card for new challenge at Come and Get It.

This week our challenge is “Things with Wings” and we have two fabulous sponsors – A Day for Daisies and Lacy Sunshine.

I have used a Lacy Sunshine image called Lil Bug – Precious Wings.  This is such a precious image and I have coloured it with soft colours that work well with the paper.

Of course I added a butterfly with some lace and pearls. The sentiment is “Thinking of You” from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.

The cardstock is Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and Confetti White.  The die cut used is the Deco Labels Diecuts plus the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die and I have embossed one of the layers using a retired bossing folder called Lacey Brocade.

Here is my card:

Fish

Hello from a very wet cool Sydney.

It has been cold here for the past few days and now the rain has been hanging around but the garden is loving it!  I managed to get the roses pruned and some potted colour in the garden in between the down pour, so I am very happy with the rain.

But enough about my gardening, let me share with you my card for the new challenge at Come and Get It.

The theme is Fish/Fishing and our sponsor is Bugaboo.

I have chosen a fun image with a cheeky sentiment for my take on this fish challenge.  The image is called Wiggle the Bait and I have coloured it in with Copic.

The DSP used is a Paper Stack called Moonlight from the new catalogue and the cardstock is Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Express It Blending paper.

Here is my card

Our letter is “R” so our theme is Red, Ribbon & Roses and is sponsored by Aurora Wings.

Aurora Wings have wonderful images and I have used an image called Dahlia Sprite which has been coloured in with Copic Markers.  The background paper was a recent purchase and the little ribbon roses I found hidden in my embellishment stash.

I have used embossed a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the one of the designs from the retired Delicate Designs Embossing Folders and die cut it using the Large Scallop Die. The satin ribbon is retired Real Red from my ribbon stash.

The image has been die cut using the Ovals Collection and then layered on Real Red cardstock which has been die using a die from the Nestabilities Opulent Ovals die set.  The For You is from a stamp set from Inspired by Stamping, punched out using the Oval Punch and the die a Marianne Die from the Petra Large Oval collection.

The layout for my card was inspired by the sketch at Sketch n Stash.
