CAGI Colour Challenge

Hi everyone and Happy Easter.

On this lovely Easter Sunday we have a bright colour challenge for you over at Come and Get It.

This week I am hosting the challenge and I have chosen the following colours:

Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party

In addition to the colours I have of course added a butterfly but not rhinestones, I have gone with pearls today.  Here is my card which is below:

P1010338_edited-2

Supplies:

Stamp set: Everything Eleanor, Itty Bitty Banners,

Card: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla
Ink: Pool Party, Calypso Coral

Accessories:  Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Bitty Banners Framelits, Beauitful Wings Embosslits Die, Pearls, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

The butterfly was created using the Beautiful Butterflies Die, which I haven’t used for ages as I always reach for the Beautiful Wings Embosslits file.

I used the Elegant Lines Folder to emboss on the butterfly - another item that I have not used for quite a while, ops!

The layout for my card was inspired by the current sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch.

The sketch is below:

I really like this colour combo, it is so bright and happy.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Inkspirational Sketch

Can you believe that March is coming to and end?  My goodness, time just flies by so fast.

Being the end of the month we have a Sketch Challenge over at Inskpirational.

Once more I have used our sponsor’s images, this time a sentiment and a border which I cut out.

I have added some embossing and some of the lovely More Amore Speciality DSP.

Here is my card:

P1010324_edited-1

Supplies:

Stamp set: Inspired by Stamping All Year Wishes 1

Card: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple
Ink: Raspberry Ripple

Accessories:  Apothecary Accents Framelits, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon (retired), Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

and here is the sketch challenge:

I have created the circle for the sketch by creating a few layers of the die from the Apothecary Accents Framelits set.

The bling seems a little lost on the paper maybe it looks better in real life?  Either way I am happy with the end result.

I think this could be a card to send for a birthday or just to say ‘hello’ to a friend and let them know you are thinking about them.

I would also like to add this card to the following challenges:

Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge – Anything Goes

Party Time Tuesdays Challenge – # 130 Anything Goes

Through the Craftroom Door Challenge – Anything Goes

There is still time to participate in our challenge over at Inkspirational and we would love to have you visit.

HJ Sketch

Hi everyone, I hope that your week is shaping up to be a good one.

Just a quick note to let you know about our new challenge over at Holly Jolly this week.

Julie has created a great Sketch challenge and our challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo so if you join us you could win some goodies.

I have gone very non-traditional this week as I found the colour inspiration from one of the sheets of DSP which is in the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Pack.

The cardstock colours are Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla.

I have also used some Pearls, yep no bling.  Added some texture with some dry embossing and some ribbon.

The image that I have used had a boarder on it so I used that as my boarder to create the Midnight Muse tag boarder.

Here is my card:

Baby Challenge

Hi everyone,

We have a “Baby Challenge” over at Come and Get It plus a Guest Design team call.

I have gone with a simple layout and in natural colours for either a Boy or a Girl as I do not need a Baby card for anyone right now.

I have used a retired sentiment “ A baby is God’s opinion that the World should go on” this is by Carl Sandburg and I think it is a lovely sentiment.

I have used So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake, Natural Ivory and Very Vanilla cardstock and added some pearls this time!

This is my card..

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge at Crafty Creations this week and it is raining!

Well sort of  - our challenge this week is Singing in the Rain, so we are looking for music and/or weather related creations.

Plus the challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo.

I have used one of the sponsors images and coloured it in with SU Water coloured pencils and the aqua-painter brush.

The colours I have used have been inspired by the Birds of a Feather DSP, which I have used a piece of on my card.

Plus I have used some of the paper flowers from the Artisan Embellishment Kit in the new seasonal catalogue.

Cannot go pass adding some ‘bling’ and some Ribbon.  The Lace was part of my stash, not sure where I picked it up from but it has some cute little hearts on it so I have used that too!

Holly Jolly Colour Challenge

Hi everyone,

We have another great challenge for you over at Holly Jolly.

This week we are challenging you to use either White or Vanilla with one colour for Christmas creation.

Seems easy but I struggled a little and in the end settled on Elegant Eggplant and teamed Very Vanilla.

Stamp set is Come to Bethlehem and the embossed Snowflakes are from the retired Snowflake Soiree stamp set.

The Snowflakes were stamped in Versamark and then embossed using the Iridescent Ice Embossing powder, so that is my sparkle for this card :)

I also added some punching, ribbon and layers, here is my card:

Recycle/Reuse

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge at Come and Get It which is to recycle or reuse something to create your project.

At first I was going to use some of the ribbon I have kept to use for a later date. You know the ribbons off flowers or presents that you have received and they are just lovely so you keep them aside to use once more!

I know crazy but true.

But then I decided to play with some newspaper, yep ordinary newspaper and see what I could do.

I found an article which was near a picture so I chopped the paper down to the size I wanted, then I added it to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

I then daubered some Soft Suede ink to make it look a little older and layered it on some Real Red cardstock.

I added a sentiment, some ribbon and of course a butterfly with ‘bling’ and here is the end result:

P1010282_edited-1

Supplies:

Stamp set: Itty Bitty Banners, Everything Elanor

Card: Real Red, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pacific Point
Ink: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pacific Point

Accessories: Beautiful Wings Emboss its, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Scallop Trim Border, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, (retired), Bitty Banners Framelits, Newspaper Article, Daubers, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive

Different and unusual but I think the more I look at it the more I like it.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

You know wreaths, pine branches, mistletoe.
