Silver and Blue Christmas

This week at Holly Jolly our theme is Silver and Blue.  I just love these colours together for Christmas cards/projects.

Our challenge is sponsored by both Lacy Sunshine & Fred She Said, so there are some great prizes available but you need to be in it to win it :)

I have used a Lacy Sunshine image called Snowflake Quality Control and coloured the image in with my Copic markers. The SU silver glitter paper features a lot on my card and the SU DSP used is called Winter Frost.

The layout for my card has been inspired by the current sketch at Sketch Saturday.

The snowflakes have been created by using the Snow Flurry Die and cut out in both Island Indigo and silver glitter paper.  Of course there is some bling and the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamps set and punched out with the Modern Label punch.

The wonderful glitter circle has been created using the Paper Doily Sizzlits Die which I cut out ages ago but kept aside for the right moment, I am sure I am not the only one that does this.

The image has been cut out with the Nestabilities Labels Nine die and I decided to add a little more glitter with some silver glitter ribbon.

Here is my card:

CAGI - Shopping

Happy Australia Day to everyone.

We are celebrating Australia Day this year by travelling to Kiama and with luck the weather will be clear for a walk and possible swim at Beach.  Then it will probably be lunch over looking the beach.

We would love to see your interpretation of our Theme "Let's Go Shopping" and you could be in the running to a win a prize from our Sponsor A Day for Daisies.

I have used the sponsor's image called "Mom's Hat" and the layout of my card has been inspired by the current sketch at Sketch and Stash.

The image has been coloured in using my Copic markers.  The paper is from a First Addition Paper pack called Blank Canvas and it has some wonderful textured and glitter designs.  The papers I have used are from a double sided sheet.

I die cut the image out with the Labels Collection Die.  The scallop edge was embossed using one of the folders from the Delicate Designs folder and cut using the Large Scallop Edgelits Die.

I raided my stash and found some Old Olive Ribbon and the flowers are a new purchase from one of the $2 shops.  The sentiment is from the Hello, Lovely stamp set which I haven't used until now.

Here is my card:

Hello from a very hot 40 degree Summer’s day here in Sydney – I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend.

We have a new challenge over at Inkspirational for the next two weeks which is an Inspirational Photo.

The CAS design and layout of my card was inspired by the current MUSE Card at CASE Study Challenges.

And the other elements I took from the photo:

  • The main colour is blue so the base of my card is Midnight Muse.
  • The butterflies represent some of the other colours in the picture and
  • The words of the sentiment represents to me the maiden in the eye of the man looking down.

Here is my card:
